I am doing a quick dive into voice recognition, and actiualy tried to write this post by using dictation...
It did not go to well...
Now why would i like to look into voice recognition? Simple, Im lazy ;)
I have a number of X10 control and alarm units in my apartment, and I'm currently using a program to make me coffe in the mornings. However I'm not to fund of that program and have started thinking of what I want to change.
One of thing is that to controll the softare, I have to remote desktop to my server. Another thing is that its to limited and hard to use.
I will get back to this when I have more time, but for now I just wanted to say -Microsoft speech recognition still needs more work... |

I have some problems with my workstation, a dell system with dual 19" screens, raided disks and all the fun stuff.
It's a rely nice system and my main projects computer whats more I got it from a close friend.
But now it seems to be bricked, no power.
I did a very quick test just now and it seems like the PSU is fried, but that's not confirmed, the same friend has my toolbox and multimeter.
Whats a wee bit annoying is that most of my project pictures and texts are on that computer. I have backups of most of the stuff but probably not all... and also the backups are on another computer which of cource is offline right now......

Linux, my long time love/hate relationship.. its almost as old as my love/hate relationship with windows (and i remember windows 2.x)
But this was about Linux. My home server used to host my site running Ubuntu server and wordpress as CMS, great system when everything works a small medieval hell when i does not.
Long story short, update=another update=version conflict=update=version conflict=rollback=software raid failure=no more site=no more Linux.
So, set up my site at work? Could do it, CMS for free and easy access to source... and were back to work on my free time...
So, Google Sites? Well why not? I'm sure I will curse an extreme amount here to, for instance, where the ***** is the spell checker?? |
